Sun in the Vision Quest

Sun Freyr deity

Sun speaks of inner child healing as a result of the vision quest. The Seeker sees the truth of their situation. In the Moon card, the Moon eclipsed the Sun, revealing to the Seeker their emotional state. This gives the Seeker a stronger awareness and connection to themselves which bring about healing and integration seen in the Sun card. The Seeker is coming out of the tomb (their old life) in the Judgement card, and they are reborn again.

I also connect this card to the Norse deity Frey, the deity of peace, beauty and horses. He is also the deity for male fertility and agriculture. Sun speaks of peace and abundance, similar to Frey. You can learn about the traditional meaning of the Major Arcana and their connection to the Vision Quest on my article called Norse Salvation.
